When a bed does not have proper balance, pressure points can form. Irritation or rashes on the skin then lead to open wounds. To treat bedsores, get a good bed with a neutral balance. Do not use too much laundry detergent on bedding and sheets.
Structured silver gel can be applied directly to the bedsore one to four times a day. The gel should be kept in place with a sterile bandage. You can expect improvement to begin very quickly after the gel is introduced to a wound. Improvement in diabetics may take two to three times longer because of circulation problems.
